Christian Breitschwerdt

Christian is looking back on overall 28 years in the telecommunications and IT industry. He has gained experience building up a GSM network from ground up in his first job at E-Plus Mobilfunk. In 2000 he moved to Vodafone where he worked both in the global and national organizations for many years managing industry initiatives (GSMA, .Mobi, OMTP) and projects in the BSS IT domain. During his employment at the consulting companies CGI and Deloitte he also gained experience on non-telco projects in the areas of software development, big data analytics and process mining for clients in retail, FMCG and manufacturing industries. In many of these projects the usage of public cloud (notably AWS) and on-premise cloud were a substantial foundation for the project delivery.
Christian joined 1&1 Mobilfunk GmbH on March 1st, 2022 as Head of Design Architecture in the Planning and Engineering Unit. In this role he is responsible for orchestration tools, „Cloud as a Service“ infrastructure that hosts the virtualized network and the design of innovative products running on the edge cloud.
