Gülay Yardim

Head of 5G Research-Development and Radio Network, Turkcell

Gülay Yardim is the Head of 5G Research-Development and Radio Network. She has more than 20 years of experience in mobile telecommunications with expertise about mainly radio and transport networks. She joined Turkcell in 2009 and responsible for radio network investments, products and architecture including integration of new technologies. She is also in charge of 5G Research and Development projects at Turkcell Technology and standardization activities of Turkcell at NGMN, ITU-T, 3GPP and GSMA. Before Turkcell, she has held various positions at Siemens, Ericsson, Nokia, Tubitak Research Institute and Middle East Technical University. She holds M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara.
